World War 1

Introduction

In this essay i pretend to give a little of knowledge about the World War 1, basing in the causes, the conflict, at the same time that making the reader know about de adventages and disadventages and all the important events that happened in this period. The World War I named too de Great War, was a war that principally started in Europe, it started at 28th of july of 1914 and finished at 11th of november of 1919. This war mark the first international big conflict of the century XX.

Desarrollo

The causes starts since the ending o the century XIX. Each potence was trying to own the sources of the raw materials, to expnd the marketing for their products and to have areas where invest in advantageously. On the other hand, there where another numerous sources of little conflicts: Austria, Russia and England wanted to increment their influence on the Balkans, fighting for dominate the narrows that belonged to the Turkish empire, in 1904. In the case of Europe, it divided in two alliances. The first was the Triple Alliance that was conformed by Austria-Hungary, Germany and Italy y the second one was the triple entente that was formed bye France, Russia and Great Britain, England and France. This two alliances were created to protect each other, but what this countries did’nt knew was that this “protection” was about make a total disaster.

Why so much destruction? This started because of the assasination of the Archduke of Austria-Hungary, Francisco Fernando, in Sarajevo, Serbia in 28 of june of 1914 that was the immediately cause, and anothers factors that made the tension to grow were the industrial develop nationalism and the neocolonialist competition. It is important to say this key Character who starred a lot of the facts in the development of this war. The general Helmuth von Moltke was the man who directed the military deliberation against France.

What were the consecuences that this war brought? If we talk about the international level, then we can say that this made the empires of Austria-Hungary and Turkey to disappear and by the time all the dynasties. It had influence too on the civil societys to fight for their freedom and to finish with the domination of the strongers. United States of America meanwhile proved his power over the other countries. It provoked the death of more tan 9 million people and left a thousand of wounded, a lot of desintegrated families and in the worst of the cases a bunch of orphans children without the support of the chief of the family.

Fo the first time it was seen the use of rifles, machine guns, toxic gases, tanks and the airplanes, and similarly, for the first time there were practices of bombardment on the cities. It emerged too the nativeness and the movilization of the civil society like never seen before to show the support for their country.
