Title: "Being mocked does not define you"

9 Characters:

1. Juan: He is a boy of about ten years old. He is mocked by his schoolmates for being "different".

2. "Eric Harris": Rock star who Juan is a fan of.

3. Security 1: Corpulent man dressed in black. It's rocker's safety.

4. Security 2: Corpulent man dressed in black. It's rocker's safety.

5. Marisa: Mom of Juan.

6. Companion 1: He is Juan's companion; part of the group that bothers you.

7. Companion 2: He is Juan's companion; part of the group that bothers you.

8. Companion 3: He is Juan's companion; part of the group that bothers you.

9. Teacher: Teacher of Juan's grade and his classmates.

ACT I

Characters that intervene in this act: Juan, Compañero 1, Compañero 2, Compañero 3 y Maestra.

Scenario: A typical classroom of a primary school.

The students are sitting in their places. Juan sits alone in one of the front benches and the companions who bother him sit together behind.

(While the teacher corrects exams on her desk, the group in the back throws papers and erasers on Juan's head while they laugh.) Juan does not manage to do anything, the teacher finishes correcting.)

-Master: We reached to review the task that I left yesterday. Juan, do you start with the digestive system?

-Juan: ¨The digestive system is composed of the organs that are responsible for ... ¨

-Company 1: (To the bottom, addressing Juan) Nerd.

-Company 2: Nerd (Simulates coughing.)

-Juan: ¨ ... digestion. (Nervous) "Those organs are the mouth, the pharynx, the ..."

-Company 3: Rare.

(All classmates laugh for repeated interruptions.)

-Master: Guys, enough is enough.

-Juan: ¨The esophagus ... ¨

(The bell / bell rings to go to recess)

-Master: We continue after recess. You can leave.

(Juan gets up to leave, passes Compañero 1, pushes him back to his chair and goes out the door.) Juan stops again, passes Compañero 2 and also pushes him to his chair and does the same with Compañero 3. Finally, everyone leaves at recess, except Juan, who remains alone and sad in his seat.)

ACT II

Personages that take part in this act: "Eric Harris", Marisa, Security 1 and Security 2.

Scenario: A kind of room / dressing room where Eric Harris rests behind the scenes after the concert that Juan and Marisa attended.

Eric rests sitting on a sofa, Security 1 and Security 2 are stopped interrupting the only possible access. Marisa appears, wanting to approach the singer.

-Security 1: (To Marisa) Ma'am, you can not be here.

-Marisa: (Screaming for Eric to hear) Eric, please, I need to talk to you just a moment!

-Security 2: Lady, retire.

-Marisa: (Screaming at Eric and trying to avoid being removed from the place) You always say that your fans are very important to you and I need to tell you about one who admires you very much and is a very special fan: his name is Juan, he has ten years and is my son!

-Eric: (Approaches and goes to Security 1 and Security 2) Okay, let it go.

(Marisa and Eric stay talking.)

ACT III

Characters that intervene in this act: Juan and Eric.

Scenario: A poorly lit staircase of the venue where the concert was held.

(All the concert goers have already retired, Juan waits alone, sitting on the stairs, Eric arrives and sits down next to him)

- Eric: Juan?

-Juan: (Illuminating his face with emotion and surprise) Wow! Eric!

Eric: Your mother told me about you. It seems that you are having some problems at school.
