Summary

The objective is to take to the Tomato from the state of Sinaloa to the Canadian market specifically to Province of Quebec, using a strategy of prices oriented to competition that gives a 33% minimum margin me of utility.

The Tomato is the most important vegetable in the world after the Pope. Canada is the second import country of Mexican tomatoes; also Mexico is one of the leading producers of tomatoes in the world.

The tomato is the main food product export Mexico with an average annual value of $ 899 million USD in 2011-2013 ; North America is the largest market with 95 % (US and Canada).

In Mexico tomato supply is sustainable with production of 2 million tonnes per year with average

rural assets of just over 70 thousand hectares dedicated to the cultivation of tomato.

The most important types of tomatoes produced both open field and in protected agriculture are: Saladette ( the most produced ), followed by the ball , Cherry , Cluster , and other specialties like Mimi and Campari types. US and Canada have increased rates on its foreign purchases of tomato, even though both are great producers.

The scope of the project is to identify the main city or province of the consuming Canada of the Mexican Tomato, and they are Quebec and Toronto, with it we fixed that the market we want is Quebec due to the amount of food which is prepared with tomatoes in this city, in addition to the entrance per capita which it handles being one of the provinces with greater fluidity of money in Canada and I want to be the first distributor of tomatoes in this city.

Introduction

The Mexican Tomato is the best in the world, it has good size, variety and also the best tomatoes are sending to the United States and Canada. The nearness is an advantage because the tomato gets into Canada with a best condition compared with the competition in the area because they travel a greater distance than us.

This is some advantages and disadvantages of our product:

The main competitors of the Mexican tomato in this state are Netherlands, Spain and United States.

From the TLCAN the agricultural products have been claimed tax relief and the Mexican Tomato does not pay to tariffs in Canada, giving him an advantage to our product with respect to the one of Netherlands and Spain, with it we can fix a competitive price, time of arrival and freshness for the affability to the consumer.

Mexico destines its better production to the market of the Canada and talking about Tomato with the greater quality and greater weight destines itself to the United States and Canada.

Canada is the second best trading partner of Mexico, most of the Mexican exportations
