Causes: addictions are often due to feelings of loneliness, and most often develop in adolescence as we are prone to many physical and mental changes that often cause stress-

Consequences: addictions are very dangerous in many ways and have consequences as to be separated from the addiction, disease, dependency, aggressiveness, etc.

Solutions: I think the solution to stop an addiction is letting go slowly, to avoid being much contact object or thing to which we are addicted.

What happens in the brain?
Neurotransmitters are natural chemicals that exist within the brain that are responsible for brain activities, including: motivation, emotions and instincts. These natural substances are those that mediate mood causing euphoria or reluctance, according to a complex sequence of stimuli, conditioning and learning

External psychotropic substances or drugs as well as the states of extreme arousal from stimulation behaviors affect these neurotransmitters so that the brain produces excessive or overly full. These changes, coupled with the predisposition to addiction produce an aberrant response that reflects a persistent biochemical imbalance

The Dual Brain
the brain can be divided in terms of function and neurological pathways in two parts: the primitive brain and the rational brain. This division can help us better understand the dynamics of neurochemistry in the process of addiction.

The Rational Brain: This area of the brain is related to the cerebral cortex and in her intellectual and abstract higher functions are based. It is called gray matter and its function is rational analysis of the facts and information that comes through the senses. In the process of addiction affecting this area also produced the relational system of addiction, which is a collection of addictive thoughts that primitive brain conspire together to facilitate and maintain active addicting process.

The Primitive Brain: This is the name under which includes the brain area vital functions mediating areas of emotions and moods, generating survival instincts and body control. This part of the brain is involved directly in the development of addiction, and there are biochemical imbalances responsible for compulsion, euphoric recall and automatic wishes. There are dopamine and endorphins, such as the brain reward system pathways.
