INTRODUCTION

This design presents the realization of a circuit to vary the intensity of light.

Suitable for all types of lights either filament lamps (normal), with which it works perfectly, but do not install any other device to this, you can install energy saving lights, fluorescent tubes,

OBJECTIVE

Show that the current can be regulated by a device no well known called dimmer.

HYPOTHESIS

My hypothesis was that using suitable components can control the power of the electric power.

BENEFITS TO SOCIETY

Benefits to society are helping to save energy because you can regulate the energy intencidad. the dimmer are widely used in conference theaters and cinemas.

BIBLIOGRAPHIC RESEARCH

DIMMER

These are devices that reduce the light intensity of incandescent or halogen transformer or electronic ballast

HOW IT WORKS

The operating principle is based on that power control is achieved by varying the conduction angle of a triac from 30 ° to 160º.

WHAT IS THE ELECTRICAL RESISTANCE

Electrical resistance is all that is opposed to the current passing through a closed circuit, thus lessening or stopping the free flow of movement of electric charges or electrons. Any consumer device or connected to an electrical circuit itself represents a load resistance or obstacle to the circulation of electric current.

WHAT IS THE OHM

The ohm measurement unit is the reluctance of the material to the passage of electrical current and is represented by the Greek letter symbol or " " (omega). The reason it was agreed to use the Greek letter instead of the "O" of the Latin alphabet was to prevent confused with the number zero "0".

The ohm is defined as the resistance offered to the passage of electric current column of mercury (Hg) of 106.3 cm high, with a cross section of 1 mm2, at a temperature of 0 ° Celsius.

According to the "Ohm's Law", a ohm (1) is the value that has an electrical resistance when connecting to an electrical circuit of a volt (1 V) voltage causes a current flow of one ampere (1 A ). The general formula for Ohm's Law is:

The electrical resistance, in turn, is identified with the symbol or letter (R) and the formula to clear its value, derived from the formula genral of Ohm's Law, is:
