The danger of television

TV has always been an invention for entertainment to everybody, giving movies, series, cartoons, documentaries and shows. However, through time people have started to depend too much on this object affecting society and themselves. Watching TV for long hours could not only affect your health, eyes and whole body, but also leaves you with no time for other important activities.

When you spend too many hours in front of a TV you hurt yourself, specially your eyes. If being in front of a screen for one hour is bad for your eyes, being for many more hours is worse. The eye is a part of your body that is not use to the vision of a screen, and the light from it affects the function of your eyes. For example when you spend the whole day watching movies on TV, after a while your eyes start to hurt and cry because you are hurting them.

Staying all day watching TV does not leave you time to make exercise. If all you do in a normal day is watch TV you are not making time on your day to improve exercise. When you do not exercise you lose condition and affect your health because you are not even moving from in front of the TV. Sitting in a coach for many hours instead of moving will only make you lazier.

If all you do is watch TV you would not be able to spend time with your friends and family. You do not see many people and start losing contact with them. You do not make time to go out and hang out with the people close to you owing to being on a coach. A good example is when you do not go out to your friend’s party because you decide to stay home and watch TV all day while all your friends are having fun.

The TV offers you many good things, from movies to series and documentaries. However, watching it for many hours leaves some effects that affect us in our time, health and social interaction. You should not stop hanging out with your friends, hurt your eyes or lose your physical condition just to watch TV all day. Of course there is nothing wrong with watching TV, but as some people say, everything in excess is wrong and all with measure is good. So just think, are you really controlling your time with TV?
