Topic Sentences: Drug addiction and dependence of the people

Drug addiction is a disease that originates in the brain of a large number of humans, this disease is characterized by its long duration, progression and relapse.

Drugs are chemicals that alter the functioning of a living, nervous system and fight or prevent pain and illness, all medicines are drugs and substances that are used for diagnosis, treatment or prevention of disease, misuse of any drug or medication used for purposes other than those initially prescribed make people have a psychological dependence having the need to take a crash or otherwise when not ingested emotional and physical dependence produced by the terrible symptoms by not ingestion.

The dependence is the state whereby a person creates and maintains constantly a desire to ingest any substance, whether this was maintained metabolic mechanisms and lack creates a withdrawal syndrome is called physical dependence. If the dependence remains psychosocial mechanism is often defined as mental or psychological dependence.

According to their degree of dependence we find two types of drugs:

1. - Hard drugs, are those that cause physical and psychological dependence, altered mental and social behavior of the addict, we can find opio and its derivatives, alcohol, amphetamines and barbiturates.

2. - Soft Drugs: Create only one psychosocial dependence we can find cannabis derivatives, including marihuana, cocaine, LSD, as well as the snuff.

This classification of hard and soft drugs is questioned, since it is said that hard drugs are bad and that soft drugs are good or less bad but despite this both administered at the same dose can have the same harmful effects

The drug treatment is intended to help the addict to stop seeking and compulsive drug consumption, treatment is long term, this involves multiple interventions and constant supervision, these treatments may include behavioral therapies, medications or a combination of them, the treatment will vary depending on the patient's specific nonsense, severity of addiction and previous efforts to stop using drugs. Finally the addicts may suffer additional health problems (including other mental disorders), occupational, legal, family and social, which must treated concurrently.

Concluding Sentences: I can conclude that drug addiction is a complicated issue because any person can suffer from this disease. Most people use some type of drug, the difference between consumption and becoming addicted is that consumes long time and mental and physical deterioration suffered by the person. The treatment is the emotional support you provide the family and the need for the person to get out of the disease.
