Feminism

Feminism is not a conspiracy movement against men. Feminism is about equality.

Gender inequality is a social situation that has been present since ancient times, we are taught the facts of this while growing up, maybe even “programmed” since we were little kids, to unconciously grow up following the stereotypes already set up years ago by closed-minded people.

Feminism is a social movement that was started years ago with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, but that would’ve been powerless without a few brave women who decided it was time to demand gender equality, to finally get that female empowerment, only hoping to reach a level of humanity, a level of social justice.

The female population has slowly earned their rights through the years, which to me sounds nonsensical, since they were supposed to have had those rights since birth, for the simple fact of having been born as humans.

Women have played an irreplaceable role in history, but how many of who we consider our leaders are women?, and it’s a minority, not because women haven’t played an incredibly important role, but because they are unacknowledged, so I ask myself: If it’s an achievement for women, is it a disgrace for men?, shouldn’t it be an accomplishment for human kind?
