NeuroKey

NeuroKey is an application specifically written for the Emotiv Epoc – EEG Headset. With NeuroKey and the Emotiv Headset, you will be able to compose email, or use other applications (with the official release), without a keyboard.

Pre-Release Notes

You have most probably received this program with your Emotiv Epoc headset. Firstly, I’d like to welcome you to an entirely new sector of consumer electronics. This is the first time a product like this has been available to the average person.

Having been involved in the Emotiv early testing program, I had had a number of months to ‘play’ with the headset and the novelty has not worn off a bit. I’m as excited today as I was the day that black and orange box arrived.

We hope NeuroKey will help a number of individuals discover new and exciting uses for this technology.

Getting Started:

• Plug in the Emotive USB wireless receiver and turn the headset on.

• Close all other applications.

• Run NeuroKey.

NeuroKey will run EmoComposer and EmotivControlPanel as required, you will be prompted by the EmotivControlPanel to select a profile.

After the various programs have started, click on NeuroKey to bring it to the front.

The ideal configuration is to select a "Headset Mode" of "All Detections" and turn on the headset before you run NeuroKey

NeuroKey will connect to your headset if it is turned on. You can click the 'More Options' button to select additional "Headset Modes".

The notes on the bottom right, when you have More Options showing, provides a bit more info.

You should occasionally check for a more recent update and information.
