Contamination is the deterioration of the environment due to the presence of harmful substances and the exaggerated increase of some substances that are part of the medium. Substances that cause an imbalance in the environment are termed contaminants and may be in the air, water and soil.

Wastewater, pollutants.

Pollution is the altered state of equilibrium of an ecosystem by the addition of substances that normally are not present, or if they are, have increased or significantly reduced their normal amount. These substances can be fumes, gases or vapors.

The pollution problem is posed today, more acutely than in the past, because much of the waste are inorganic origin and are not attacked by the disintegrating bacteria.

The effort to find a solution is hampered by the population growth and the rapid industrial development.

Water pollution: Water when incorporated foreign substances as microorganisms, chemicals, industrial waste or sewage. These contaminants cause the water is not good for humans or for plant and animal life.

Air pollution: the name given to the addition of toxic elements such as CO. This type of pollution affects the welfare of people, animals and plants negatively.

Soil contamination: When strange and harmful material is introduced into the earth layers. These pollutants produce a physical, chemical and biological imbalance in the soil.
