Electronic Government is a new strategy Government is using it to get closer to their citizens, businesses, and other governments. Some examples of governments that are using this strategy are The U. K. Parliament, The British Prime Minister’s Office and The White House. In these sites you can find a lot of information about legislation, recent news, different committees, job opportunities, and so on. In some of them you can actively participate, ask questions, and give feedback. The importance of e-government strategy is to have a good management of information systems, creating a site with a dynamic design, with well-organized information, and interesting features. Besides all the useful information, processes can be shortening by this kind of systems, allowing agencies to be more efficient, cutting downtime and waste like “muda, muri and mura”, which decrease with electronic processes.

Technology has changed our lives. It has facilitated the flow of information, data management, and communication, that’s why Puebla’s City Hall invested in Technology atomizing processes in pro of its people. They have more than 1500 process, and many of them are tedious, slow, dysfunctional, ineffective and inefficient.

One strategy to optimize and decrease waste in Data´s System of these processes was to implement the analysis with a Lean’s tools, like the Stakeholders Analysis and the VSM with all the people involved in the processes before automation. Education with lean methodology has been the break point to achieve the goal, educating people, who is in the base of the pyramid, not just de high levels, because this people knows very well the processes, is face to face with people resolving their problems and finally make the difference.

Otherwise, the use of Internet is growing faster every day, it’s true that a lot of Mexicans don’t have access to technology, but we are here to take technology to them, in order to be more effective in our activities. The challenge is to be able to take the best and minimize the disadvantages.

In this order, with e-government we want to bring information easily to people, simplifying processes, making them more effective and efficient, without having leaved the comfort of their houses or places of work. Besides that, the Government’s employees keep their skills updated that are a requirement to succeed in the business world. They have to be continuously learning about the new tendencies in their work, achieving the Governments goals for a growing and better city.
