After seeing the table for the first time on the book I feel awkward with the one that says “Observes self and others in the process of perceiving, thinking and feeling” (Mayfield, 2014) because I think it was a dumb statement, but then I realize that we really put this statement in practice to be able to analyze and come up with our solutions and decisions in our everyday life. I have to be more perceptive and reflective about what I do and decide.

Now that the course is finishing, I reflect the ones that says “To stereotype, to jump to premature judgments and conclusions” (Mayfield, 2014) and “Reads critically” (Mayfield, 2014). Along with this course I improve the second statement because I learned how to evaluate my sources, evidence and data based on the facts and situations in which we are involved. About the first sentence the course gave me the resources and tools for my own judgment but not leaving aside the important facts to consider such as not making the wrong inferences or assumptions.

Another important statement which I also improve along the course is “Checks for evidence and valid reasoning” (Mayfield, 2014). However I feel that I need to continue practicing, learning and improving this one. One thing that could happen is that I, in the future, forget what I’ve learned in this course and let aside the analyzing part of the information, this would be so badly for my personal and professional development so I need to be aware of use it correctly every day, every time.
