Lucila Campos was a popular Peruvian singer, known as the "Reina de las Polladas". Interpreter of Creole, Afro-Peruvian music and salsa.

She was born in 1942, in Lima. She was a devotee of the Lord of Miracles. She had two children: Zoila and Peter, the latter was a model catwalk known as Peter Ferrari.

She started singing since she was young, being "Peruanita bonito”, her first sung song. She was known as an interpreter of "Guaranguito, La morena Trinidad, Toro kills and Samba Malató". In 1978, he recorded "Ruperta de Ángel Aníbal Rosado". It was also part of Peru Negro.

In his last years he had numerous activities that he has developed mainly in the United States, New York, San Francisco, Atlanta, Connecticut, Elizabeth, Las Vegas, Virginia and other cities. He shared the stage with Celia Cruz in New York.

She has made approximately thirty recordings including waltzes, celebrations, sailors, landau, etc.

Lucila Campos, showed her surprise and joy when she received recognition from INDECOPI in April 2005.

Lucila Campos, who for many years organized “polladas” in her neighborhood of Almirante Guisse in Lince. Within her personal arrangement, she wore innumerable wigs, and as a disease, she suffered from diabetes.

On June 14, 2007, Lucila Campos, the "tía" as the people affectionately call her. It was operated on the heart where a pacemaker was placed, since its heartbeat was very weak. . In 2009, he suffered the amputation of one of his legs because of his advanced diabetes.

He died on December 12, 2016 at 10:30 am at 78 years of age.
