Miranda Taylor Cosgrove was born in Los Angeles , CA , USA on May 14, 1993 .
She is an actress and singer , known for antagonizing and star in the Nickelodeon series , Drake & Josh and iCarly starring as Megan Parker and Carly Shay , respectively . His career began at 3 years of age , participating in television commercials . His film debut was in the 2003 film , School of Rock as Summer Hathaway alongside Jack Black , receiving positive reviews. Cosgrove earned $ 180,000 per episode that was on the Nickelodeon series , iCarly , being the second highest paid young actress on television. She belongs to the list of Guinness World Records 2012 for the most overpaid child actress on iCarly . After these successes allowed him to enter the world of music recording the soundtrack of the series, iCarly launched in June 2008. Their debut album Sparks Fly was released on April 27, 2010 , debuting at # 8 on the Billboard 200 . Miranda worked on the album with Espionage , Dr. Luke and The Matrix.
In late 2010 released "Dancing Crazy" first single from his third and new EP , High Maintenance which was released on March 15, 2011 , this is the star of his first Tour Dancing Crazy tour throughout the United States .
Currently , Cosgrove is studying in the University of Southern California and filming a television series called Girlfriend in a Coma for release in 2013 .
