La contaminación del aire se produce cuando ciertos gases tóxicos entran en contacto con las partículas de la atmósfera, perjudicando de forma seria y dañina a la salud del hombre, de animales y plantas. Nuestro planeta se encuentra expuesto a numerosos contaminantes que perjudican al bienestar y a la salud de los seres vivos que habitan en él. Si las personas y las empresas dejan de usar sustancias tóxicas que causan la contaminación del aire, se puede prevenir el exceso de dióxido de carbono.Las emisiones de los caños de escape de autos, así como de otras producidas en ciudades modernas nos afecta no solo a las personas al respirar, sino a todos los sistemas que dependen. Si creamos zonas para peatones o incentivar el uso de coches eléctricos, ayudara a la disminución de la contaminación. Si difundimos las causas que provocan la contaminación del suelo, del agua y del aire contribuiremos a disminuir los daños que ocasionan en el medioambiente. La contaminación del aire se produce si existe alteración en la proporción de los elementos que lo forman o cuando aparecen sustancias extrañas o tóxicas suspendidas en él.
