London the capital of England and the United Kingdom, located on the banks of the River Thames (Thames) in the southeast of the island of Great Britain. Geographically the Thames crosses the city and divides it into two. This river is navigable and was influential in the development of the city.

London was founded in AD 43 by the Romans on the north bank of the river. For many centuries there was a single bridge in the city (London Bridge) triggering the main and most historic area of the city is the north bank of the river. Now this is where you will find most of the tourist attractions, concert halls, theaters, cinemas, art galleries, etc.. When bridges were built during the eighteenth century, the city expanded in all directions.

It has grown tremendously over the past centuries, is a multicultural city and is one of the most populated cities in Europe along with Paris, Moscow and Istanbul.

London has five airports: Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton and the City.

London was elected to host the 2012 Olympics

certainly in London there are a variety of attractions to see and visit during your stay. Among the main attractions are: The Tower of London, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus, St Paul's Cathedral, Hyde Park, Windsor Castle, Madame Tussauds Museum, Cathedral Westminster and Trafalgar Square.

London is also a good place for shopping. Harrod's is an emblem of the city, and major fashion stores internationally renowned as Dolce and Gabanna, Coco Chanel, Carolina Herrera among others can also be found in these neighborhoods (Knightsbridge and Bond Street), for those seeking the visiting street markets Soho, Camden Town and Covent Garde

It has a variable climate, predominantly soft and high humidity. During the winter it rains frequently and is cold. Spring is cool with little wind, the summer during July and August is very hot and autumn is usually warm and rainy.
