areas and protected natural areas.

Today our city tour will focus on the west of Puerto Montt and we will

begin by:

Bus station: it’s a very important place because it connects Puerto

Montt with other cities in the country, and the routes are very difficult

due to its extensive territory, that’s why land transportation means

Now we are going to cross the street and we’re going along Diego

Portales Avenue to visit…

Melipulli Village: it’s a very special place because it displays a mini

museum that illustrates part of the local history. Here, in the Melipulli

Village, you can enjoy the typical cuisine of the area and you can also

buy handicrafts and souvenirs of your visit to the city.

A few minutes away, we continue to walk down the street, knowing

part of the waterfront, where there are seafarers, the port, the travel

agencies and commercial premises. Soon we will reach ...do not get

separated from your groups.

Artesanías Angelmó: Consisting of several craft posts typical of the

area, it is a reflection of the rich culture and folklore of the area: a

harmony between land and sea represented in fabrics, carvings,

leather, vegetable fibbers, metals, algae, and semi beautiful stones,

and so on. Which you can buy in this crowded promenade that is very

representative of the city.

which use products from the land and sea that give rise to dishes

such as "curanto", "cancato", "paila marina", and "roast on a stick".

In addition, you will find products to be sold such as home-made

liquor, cheese, honey, fruits and vegetables, fish and seafood brought

from the surroundings of the city.

In front of us you can see Tenglo Island; from there we will take a

boat to take us there in a few minutes (security measures)

Tenglo Island: its natural beauty and proximity to the city make this

island one of the greatest attractions of the city. We will ascend to

the top, where there is a large cross that can be seen from anywhere

in the city. From here we have a panoramic view of the city and the

surrounding: sea, islands and volcanoes Osorno, Calbuco and

Puntiagudo.

Upon returning to the mainland, we will take transportation which will

take us to Chinquihue. Be sure to stay in yours seats for added
