Family brand.- For example, a company may use one brand to market soap, lotion, hair shampoo, and nail polish.

Individual brands.- a company may sell lipstick and nail polish, giving each product line a separate marketing identity.

18.- Give some examples of distributor´s brands. Are they cheaper than manufacturer´s brands of the same kind of product? Are the usually as well made? As well publicized? As tastefully packaged?

Sears has launched various brands (Diehard batteries, Craftsman tools, Kenmore appliances or) that have a high preference and even loyalty among consumers. Retailers such as El Corte English or brands sold Eroski respectively as Boomerang and Mayte or Goikoa sausages.

19.-What is the major role of product´s trademark?

is a distinctive sign or indicator used by an individual, business organization, or other legal entity to identify for consumers that the products or services on or with which the trademark appears originate from a unique source, designated for a specific market, and to distinguish its products or services from those of other entities.

20.-What are the trademarks of some products marketed in your country?

Coca cola, Marlboro, Colgate-Palmolive, Sabritas, Nescafe, etc.
