SENTENCE STRUCTURE:

Subject + verb (in past) + complement.

Ex: Charlie kept a game yesterday.

YES / NO QUESTIONS

Auxiliary (DID) + subject + base verb + complement?

Ex: Did Charlie keep an intersting...?

R/ Yes, He did

No, He didn’t / did not.

WH QUESTIONS:

What did Charlie keep yesterday?

He keep an intesting conversation.

RULES:

Cuando el verbo finaliza en: consonante, vocal, consonante; se le agrega otra consonante + ED. Ex: STOP / STOPPED. OPEN / OPENNED.

We don`t apply the rule: SS, X, Z, W.

VERB “BE” IN PAST:

*Is – Was

*Am – Was

*Are – Were

OBJECT (cuando usas a alguien como objetivo).

*Was born = Fue parido.

-Who were you with yesterday? = Con quien estuviste ayer?

*Cuando se usa el “con quien” tiene que usar “were”

*Cuando solo usa “quien” tiene que usar el “was”.

CAN – Ability

Subject + aux (can) + base verb (infinitive) + complement.
