The spanglish is created by speaking or writing half spanish and half english. In spanish is called "espanglish". This way of communicating comes from the fusion of the spanish and english language. The spanglish is a phenomenon created by people when trying speak in english and ends in spanish or viceversa. Also the spanglish is used when a person needs communicate and does not have the exact word to complete the expression to be said. Sometimes spanglish is used by bilingual people who feel more comfortable mixing words from both languages. Being the case of someone with knowledge of both languages, even this can cause confusions and awkward situations for some people. The use of spanglish in a country where english is needed for a good communication can be a problem... The experience talking spanglish with my family was unproductive because they spoke full english whereas I spoke spanish and a bit of english. During Summer of 2013 , during my vacations I visited part of my family in the United States. I tried speak well the english, but when I did not remember an english word I completed the sentence using Spanish. It was frustrating and difficult to find words for make a complete expression and translate everything for them to understand. In those moments, I felt like an Asian trying to communicate in Germany, incapable to communicate with others person. In my personal case, when people speak fluent English around me, it can make me feel uncomfortable. During my visit in the United States I felt like the character Kevin McCallister from Home Alone, but lost in China instead of New York. Referring to the video from “Modern Family: The Many Mispronunciations of Sofia Vergara’s ‘Gloria" I understood the importance of a good communication and I felt identified when Gloria could not communicate efficiently with her family and friends. My situation was very similar because there was a good dialogue between me and my American family, there was a problems of bad communication...In addition, during a mock interview years ago, when I tried to answer the questions in english I combined the english with spanish language and the interviewer got disappointed because of this. I saw the bad reaction of the interviewer, he looked like an angry gorilla for the waste of time by my fault for my informally way to answer. After that moment, when I finished the interview, I realized how important is the use of a good language. The world looked so dark, I thought everything was going wrong in my mind and in my whole life for my mistake of combine the two languages. Everything to me was a mistake, I saw all wrong and this was part of the frustration that had not achieved what I wanted at the time...Another case of how spanglish affected me was when I was in high school.
