Kilimanjaro, Tanzania volcano

Kilimanjaro is a volcano located in the eponymous national park in Tanzania. It has an altitude of 5,895 meters, making it the highest mountain in Africa and one of the highest volcanoes in the world. It is a stratovolcano composed of three craters with snow.

Today Kilimanjaro is protected by a national park, which was declared a World Heritage, Site by Unesco in 1987.

The Krakatoa, Indonesia volcano

It is a known volcano that has erupted repeatedly. It is the most important eruption occurred between May and August 1883, when an explosion blew almost all of the island 10,000 times more powerful than the Hiroshima bomb.

Mount Tambora - Sumatra, Indonesia

This is the volcano that has caused more deaths in the history of mankind. Is estimated to have killed between 50,000 and 90,000 people due to its eruption, and gases that has evolved, in 1815. This continues active volcano and its height is 2,800 meters.

Kilauea, Hawaii. Volcano

Kilauea is one of the largest volcanoes on Earth and one of five volcanoes that form the big island of Hawaii. It has a height of 1,111 meters.

The natives consider this volcano goddess Pele home, goddess of Fire. It is an active volcano that has been erupting almost constantly. The latest eruption began in 1983 and continues in 2008.

Mount Vesuvius, Italy

Mount Vesuvius is a city located near Naples, has varied height of 1300 meters in the last century. It is an active volcano.

It is famous for its eruption on August 24, 1979, in which it was buried the cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum. It is considered one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world, and in their vicinity about three million people live.
