Kangaroo Generation.

This generation is known because its members still live with their parents. So, why young adults still living with their parents? Comfort? Convenience? Or just because they do not want to take responsibilities?

Nowadays it is common to see young adults living with their parents, but it affects quite a lot their future lives, most of them decide to stay under the influence of their parents because they want to; the other part have no other choice.

Here in Latin America most of the parents are used to keep their children with them as long as possible. In our culture, we are not accustomed to even let our children go to another state university, having as consequence this generation. A good number of young graduated are still living under their parents “protection”; the main two reasons for this phenomenon are the employment issue and comfort.

On the one hand unemployment plays a very strong part because new high school graduates are still unemployed. Editorial Writer Kim Soon-duk lists this generation as: “They are full of fears. They are not used to doing things for themselves with their hands and heads since they were always told to do something since their early childhood, including “to always study.” Raised in material affluence, they lack the will to overcome difficulties. They do not want to live as diligently as their parents did, and they do not like small companies. The college setting was a huge greenhouse to them. With their obsession for enhancing their qualifications, they willingly avoid graduation, transfer to other schools, and go to graduate schools. Without even trying to face the world, they are sharpening their sword for that long until their day finally comes along”.

It is easy to blame government and economy and even our parents, because
