SHOULD A SINGLE PERSON BE ALLOWED TO ADOPT CHILDREN?

There’s been great debate if a single person should be allowed to adopt children. In my humble opinion YES! I think that also same sex marriages also should adopt. If you have the means and the time why not.

In Puerto Rico is permitted to a single person to adopt. The article 133 of Puerto Rico Civil Code permit it.

Many fundamentalists say that children should be raised by “traditional families. But what is a traditional family? Right now a large number of children are raised by one parent. And some time this parent even don’t want the child. Yes we should allow single parents to adopt children. If you have a home, a stable income, a good support group, a lot of love to give, you are healthy, both mentally and physically, hell yeah you should adopt. They have to ask for the same requirements to you as to “traditional couples”

In Puerto Rico are a large number of children living in foster homes and orfanatories. They need stability and love. We have to get with the times. All these antiquated thinking haven’t worked. We have to move forward. Say yes to adoption from any status, religion, race, sexual preference. The children should be our only interest. And they be greatly beneficiated from this initiative.
