THE IMPORTANCE OF GIVING WITHOUT EXPECTING A REWARD.

Once upon a time, in a village with less than one hundred inhabitants. There were two families. They were so poor. They did not have anything to eat. Each of them only had one of the parents, the mother. The mothers did not have a job because as it was a small village, there was not enough job for them. What the mothers did to survive was to sell fruits on the streets, but it did not provide enough economical support. Their children were starving because they rarely had to eat the three meals every day. One of the kids was getting sick because of the lack of food. One day, a wealthy kid with his father passed in front of the humble houses were the poor family lived.

Adrian: hey dad, there are two little houses over there. They look so poor.

Mom: Ahhhh, yes, it is not something strange.

Adrian: but dad, they need help!

Mom: well, the most important is that we have everything.

Adrian: yes dad, but we also should help others.

Mom: if you want to, let’s go to see and talk to them.

In front of the houses…

Adrian to Edwin: hello! How are you?

Edwin: Hello! I am not fine. I have a stomachache because I am hungry.

Adrian: really? Don’t have anything to eat?

Edwin: no, I don’t. I just ate yesterday.

Yeymi shuts: hey, Edwin, what are you doing?

Edwin: anything, mom. I am just talking with someone.

Yeymi goes where they are.

Mom: hello, misses. How are you?

Yeymi: I am worried because we don’t have food. I did not sell any fruit in the morning.

Mom: yes, I know.

Yeymi: yes, and also there is another family next to this house. They are in starving too because the mother is sick.

Mom: Oh my God, let’s go to see.

They go to the other house.

Mom: hello, is someone there?

Erick: yes, who’s there?

Mom: I just want to ask if everything is ok.

Erick: My mom is so sick, but we don’t have anything to eat because she cannot work.

Mom: that is too sad, where is mom?

Yaneth: I am here. Who’s there?

Mom: Good afternoon, I am Maycol, and I just want to help you.

Yaneth: thank you so much, come in…

Adrian: Dad, I want to help her. Let’s bring food.

Mom: yes, let’s go home and come tomorrow.

The next day…

Adrian: There is food over here. Let’s eat together.

All the poor people say: THANK YOU!

Moral:

Edwin: Poverty is a problem that we have to fight to solve. We have to consider that if we lend a hand, it is possible. Teach children to take care about that.
