The Ching Ming festival is to the Chinese what the Day of the Dead for Mexicans.

During this "bright and shining" day descendants are going to visit the grave of their deceased relatives.

This festival evening 4 or 5 April is celebrated on the solar calendar, or Day 106 in the Chinese lunar calendar.

The festival begins about ten days before and ten after Chin Ming, and can last up to a month.
