CLIMATE

• London has a temperate oceanic climate, similar to much of southern Britain.

• Paris has the typical Western European oceanic climate which is affected by the North Atlantic Current.

• Paris: Summer days are usually warm and pleasant with average temperatures hovering between 15 °C (59 °F) and25 °C (77 °F), and a fair amount of sunshine.

• London: Summers are generally warm and sometimes hot. London's summer average is 24 °C (75.2 °F).

• London: Winters are generally chilly to cold with frost usually occurring in the suburbs on average twice a week from November to March.

• Paris: In winter, sunshine is scarce; days are cold but generally above freezing with temperatures around 7 °C (45 °F).

• Paris: Snowfall is rare, but the city sometimes sees light snow or flurries with or without accumulation.

• London: Snowfall during March and April is rare but does occur every two or three years.

• Paris: Rain falls throughout the year, and although Paris is not a very rainy city, it is known for intense sudden showers.

• London: The Rain generally occurs on around 2 out of 10 summer days

• Paris: Spring and autumn have, on average, mild days and fresh nights, but are changing and unstable.

• London: Spring and Autumn are mixed seasons and can be pleasant.

• London: Despite its reputation as being a rainy city, London receives less precipitation (with 601 mm (24 in) in a year)

• Average annual precipitation is 652 mm (25.7 in) with light rainfall fairly distributed throughout the year.
