Peace Day

Peace is, in my opinion, a short word but with a big meaning, 5 letters that can be the difference in the planet, it means a state of harmony characterized by the lack of violence, conflict behaviors and the freedom from fear of violence.

Peace love and Happiness is all we need, but if we don’t have peace we will never have love, and without love, there is no happiness. That’s why the U.N decides to have a day in honor to this powerful word, Peace.

On September 21, the world celebrates the International Peace Day, a day to commemorate the peace ideals at every nation. There is a letter made by the U.N when it says this say we will get together and keep the peace and the security in our countries, and that this day we will stop the fire and live all in pace for one day.

Keeping the traditions, lots of organizations will make worldwide activities showing people ways to promote the non violence. An example is a campaign that people made in 2011 called “Peace and Democracy: make your voice heard”. Peace and Democracy support a link to promote the well-being of the people and the development of the nations; it was a day when all the institutions of the stare act in terms of transparence and respect of the human beings.

This year lots of activities will be develop, in Chez Republic people will get together and meditate for peace and sign peace mantras, in Azerbaiyán all the school student will form the peace symbol, and in Australia they will make a celebration.

The U.N has also more than 20 “peace bells” they make it sound every year in the call for world peace, they have one in Kentucky, Japan, New Zealand and many other countries.

To celebrate this important day, I will like to celebrate it with activities that will make people change their minds, a inspire movement, it consist in making cards with inspire phrases or quotes and paste them on different parts of the city, or give them to people at a mall or at the streets. This movement could change the way of seeing life and make people smile if they are having a bad day, it also helps people to realize what we are doing with the planet and to make them see that violence is not the result of our problems, we can be happy and have no problems if we stop with the fire and the hate.

This day is quite important for the humanity; it shows us that the right thing is act in peace. Violence is not only in wars, it is everywhere around us, in school, in the streets or even in home, and it’s not necessarily with weapons, words can hurt people like a knife. Not only this day is when we should stop with the violence, we have to avoid it every day, using the right thing, peace.

The peace day is made to remind us of the happy things, let’s make it happen every day, because all my life I've been waiting for the people to say that we don't want to fight no more and there'll be no more wars.
