In the Villa de Leyva’s town are a lot of places to visit:

- The main square

- The Periquera’s waterfalls

- The fossil

- The dinosaurs museum.

- The five blue lakes

- The little hell

Places to stay and Buy

In this town you have a big offer of good hotels to stay, near to the center of the town, like Getsemani and the Duruelo, which is the most recognized of all of them. If you like to rest near the birds singing and without any sound but the nature, you must stay in the Rainbow Suites, the best country hotel all over the town. Finally, if you want something cheap, you can build a camping on the camping zones (not recommended if you don’t like bugs in your socks).

You can buy a lot of curious things at any place you visit, like the fossil souvenirs, some dissected spiders, or even a poster with the landscapes of the region. But if you want to spend money, I really recommend the food like the curd crackling, the arepas and the boyacense stew.

People: Likes, Routines and description

The persons who live in Villa de Leyva are rural people; all of them are very kind and workers. Their principal source of money is form the agricultura and tourism. Those persons are very social and so happy! They say hello to anyone who pass through. Their cheeks are flushed because the strong wind; their faces are particulary small, and they’re height is shorter than the rest of the colombian people. But it is not a problem for them to be very polite and give a hand to the foreign people.
