Paraphrase about Nature and Nurture

After having read the passage, I understand that the nurture of a human being is based on the way it is treated and the environment in which that person lives. According to Mr. John B. Watson, human behavior is learned but is instinctive, so this means that the languages, walking, among many other actions are simply learned by pure observation. For this social interaction is when human beings, being babies, learn and copy the behavior of adults, and in consequence of that is where we develop our own personality. Each time a person socializes with another person or group of people, you can purchase attitudes, tricks and feelings that eventually lead him to think, act and feel according to the kind of people who daily have to socialize, and the environment in which he lives. An excellent example of this can see represented in the brothers Tomas Driscoll and Valet de Chambre, two characters from the book called Puddd'nhead Wilson written by great writer Mark Twain. In his book, Twain, described how a powerful man had two children with two different women, one of them was his white wife, and the other was one of his black servants. Both babies were born on the same day, grew up together and were bred under the tuition of the black woman. But the interesting thing is that the babies were changed, which caused the black child to learn to speak, act and having the same racist beliefs of whites. In contrast, the white child grew learning the customs of the black slaves. Here it is clear that people and the environment around us have a lot influence on our personality and behavior.

On the other hand we have the role of nature. This is based on the idea that the human being is born with specific behavior and personality due to his genetics he inherited from his parents. For years and years, this idea has been in the minds of the people, and they are supported by examples like a murderer born a murderer, or someone being aggressive was born aggressive. As time passes, this idea become less popular because it has been proven that nature is not what determines the behavior or personality of an individual, but nurturing. Nature can give us genetic strokes as hair color, eye color and facial features , is also what tells us our physical or intellectual limits, whether so high we can get to be , or how powerful our IQ is. According to the author of this passage is that nature is responsible for giving us the awareness needed to capture, and imitate the behaviors we see in our environment.

The author of this passage says he would not say that nature is more important than nurture, while admitting that both affect a lot in human behavior. He says he agrees with
