How to “Unpack” Your Packed Presentation with 3D Effects

1) Use Windows Explorer to view the packed files on your CD (or network folder, or other transfer medium).

2) If you see a file with a .3dp extension, copy the .3dp file into a destination folder that you can write to (that is on, or at least available, to the target PC).

3) If you see files with a .dll extension (i.e. HookDll.dll, CGPower3DUtilityFx.dll, p3dXpTrans.dll, Pack_n_GoHook.dll), copy these .dll files into the same destination folder as above.

4) If you see the PowerPlugs Player (POWERPLUGS PLAYER.EXE), copy the PowerPlugs Player to the destination folder.

5) Double-click on PNGSETUP.EXE to extract the presentation file (.PPT) into the destination folder. Near the end of the PNGSETUP extraction process, you will see the following message: “The presentation successfully installed in [Destination folder]. Would you like to run slide show now?” Click NO.

How to View Your Packed Presentation with 3D Effects

Option 1) If PowerPlugs: Transitions and PowerPoint 97 (or higher) is already installed on the destination PC, Open PowerPoint.

a) Use the Open command to select the unpacked presentation (now in the destination folder).

b) Select “View Show with 3D” (located in PowerPoint’s “Slide Show” menu) to start running your 3D-enhanced presentation.

c) If the program says there are both AVIs and real time effects, select “real time” unless that option won’t work for you on that PC. (There are a very small number of PCs that report they can handle real time 3D effects, but can’t.)

Option 2) If you have PowerPoint 97 (or higher) already installed on the destination PC and the PowerPlugs Player program is also present, double-click on the PowerPlugs Player program (POWERPLUGS PLAYER.EXE)

a) Select the unpacked presentation (now in the destination folder).

b) If the PowerPlugs Player program says there are both AVIs and real time effects, select “real time” unless that option won’t work for you on that PC. (There are a very small number of PCs that report they can handle real time 3D effects, but can’t.)

Option 3) If you have PowerPoint installed, but don’t have either the PowerPlugs Player or PowerPlugs Transitions installed on the destination PC, then open PowerPoint.

a) When it comes up, use the Open command to select the unpacked presentation (also in the destination folder).

b) Then use “View Show” (located in PowerPoint’s “Slide Show” menu) to start running your 3D-AVI-enhanced presentation.

Option 4) If you don’t
