MARK ELLIOT ZUCKERBERG
Mark Zuckerberg was born on May 14th, 1984 in Dobbs Ferry, New York. His father Edward ran a dental office and her mom Karen worked as a psychiatrist.
Mark developed an interest in computers while he was very young. At the age of 12 he created “Zucknet”. His parents hired a computer tutor, David Newman, to come to the house and work with Mark.
While he was studying at Phillips Exeter Academy, Zuckerberg created “Synapse”, music software. Companies like AOL and Microsoft wanted to hire the teenager, buy Mark declined the offers.
In Harvard Mark invented “Course Match” and “Facemash”. He worked on a social network with some people. Then he left them and started his own project, “Facebook”, working with some of his friends. Facebook started having 1million users.
In 2005, 5.5 million people used Facebook. Yahoo and MTV wanted to buy it, but Mark said no. He had some legal problems which had to do with the real creator of Facebook.
Zuckerberg appeared on the book “The Occidental Billionaires”, these book’s rights were sold to make a film “The social Network”. Mark said he hadn’t seen the film.
If you are interested on buying Facebook, well, it costs 6.7 million dollars.
