“The key to revitalizing a language is by moving a new generation of speakers”

Actually, it is known that almost half of the languages around the world are endangered due to different things such as globalization. That is why lots of people are trying to stop this and revitalize these languages by motivating a new generation of speakers. It is a good way to do this but I don’t agree that this is the key and I will explain my reasons in the following lines.

There are many reasons to revitalize a language but the most important is that the language is part of the culture of each person and lose their language is lose their identity. Also is true that the best solution is transmit elder’s knowledge to children so the revitalization gets bigger and bigger but it is not the only way.

Other ways are for example have a strong presence in the education system because if in the schools they start to use the language it will expand. Also they can use technology because of globalization almost all people have a smartphone, tablet or devices.

In conclusion, I think all languages are so important as well as animals and other things; because of that we have to revitalize this languages that are in danger in different ways not only by motivating a new generation because as I mentioned, adults can help and also communities should continue to use their own language to avoid its extinction.
