Why is agriculture important in the world of today?

Many people when they hear ‘Agriculture’ what is comes to their minds are food or something like that. Agriculture actually is where food comes from but it isn’t only that we can find the different types of agriculture production. We also can find how the agriculture sector plays an important role in the sphere of providing large scale employment to people. Agriculture has a lot of benefit and advantages in so many sectors like in general and in Environment. By the years Agriculture has grown a lot and it transforms in modern agriculture what it helps a lot too. Therefore, the purpose of my essay is explain why agriculture is so important in the world of today and how we depend on that.

There are different types of agriculture production, today more and more lands are being developed for the production of a large variety crops. For example potatoes and other roots or vegetables and even leaves such as tea, as well as the fruits that men eat are the products of the soil that covers the earth Everything that we eat except meat, fish and other kinds of flesh comes from the land and what grows on the land is part of agriculture, the sugar, oil, coffee and other beverages that we use are products of plants that grow on the land. Also Medicines that we use are made of plants that grow in various parts of the world. But it isn’t just important to us the consumers, the agriculture sector plays an important role in the sphere of providing large scale employment to people. Large farms employ workers to undertake the various jobs relating to cultivation of crops and care of farm animals. In a fact most of the countries of the world, agriculture still remains the biggest sector responsible for the employing and feeding a large percentage of the population.

We can find advantages of agriculture, one is that a country that relies on agriculture will be no scarcity of food never or will need to import and it also it provides so many works for a lot of people and if the export the crops it will be a better economic situation for the country. Moreover in agriculture we can find the “ecologic agriculture” which have benefits too such as it stops to fertilize land desertification and it helps for the decontamination of water, air, soil, fauna and flora. The Environmental Benefits Of Farming are: it helps to Oxygen production, which makes it possible for humans and animals to breathe and It produce cleaner water, less global warming, and wildlife habitat and aesthetics. So that’s why we can see how many benefits the agriculture has in different branches.

How agriculture has progressed through the years, and new agriculture techniques thanks to the technology it’s a meaning of what is modern agriculture. These have modern ways of pesticides and fertilizers. The on-toxic alternative pesticides do not exist. These include ‘bio-pesticides’, whose active ingredients are living organisms such as a bacterium, virus, or plant extract Biodiversity itself can contribute to reducing the use of chemicals in agriculture. Various alternative farming techniques have been developed that seek to do this, such as biological control of pests and weeds. In brief the progrees of agriculture is important because it helps farmers to have new knowledge and the country's economic growth. So one’s of the many reasons why agriculture gain importance was since the food crisis of 2008 because they want a good source of food for the country and that was the only way out.

In conclusion, agriculture is such an important thing we all depend on that, we get food, medicines, and works and also thanks to the ecologic agriculture, a fresh air and beautiful aquifers. Also the economy depends on that, we can import crops. So if agriculture doesn’t exist we wouldn’t have to eat and there were so many people
