1.-HISTORY

After nearly 80 years, Graña y Montero keeps growing with the enthusiasm and the future vision that they shared three young engineers in 1933.

Noticeably more solid and diversified with very large projects here and abroad with a most numerous human team with a common goal: to work under the principles and values that characterize the style Grana y Montero.

• Decade 1930

The firth contract of Gramovel was the construction of a particular house in Lima, a city with a population of half a million.

 Decade 1940

In 1942 Gramovel obtained his firth international contract, and within other projects, built the city of Talara. In 1949, Gramovel merge with Morris y Montero, starting Graña y Montero S.A.

 Decade 1950

It was consolidated the most important "project" of Graña y Montero, our company values based in reliability and compromise with the client.

 Decade 1960

A new generation of engineers enters the company; they were formed not only with Graña y Montero culture and process but also with its philosophy

 Decade 1970

The new leaders develop the work as a team and respect of knowledge. The company focuses its efforts in two goals: the management by objectives and the finding of excellence.

 Decade 1980

In 1983, Graña y Montero celebrates his first 50 years. The new challenge was Growing and Diversification.

 Decade 1990

The strategic consist in giving priority to long term contracts which provide financial stability to the company. Internationalization begins to be the new strategic.

 Decade 2000

To pursue its strategic specialization objective, in 2004 Graña y Montero carried out 70% of its operations in the energy and mining industry. Meanwhile, the company's diversification strategy required 49% of its gross earnings should come from activities outside construction.

In 2008, Graña y Montero celebrates his 75 anniversary as the biggest and most recognize Construction Company in Peru. It was born GMV, the real estate company.
