REMEDIAL V ENGLISH CLASS

Chris Lonsdare talks about “How to learn language in 6 months”

  1. Concentrate: Always focus on the language. Attention-Memory-Remember.
  2. Use your language to communicate for practice.
  3. Understand the message first, to be able to process it. Comprehension is the key.
  4. Physiological training. Talking makes muscle. Make sounds to understand.
  5. BE RELAXED! Physiological state.

7 actions

  1. Listen a lot! You have to make your ears, to listen the right sounds of the language.
  2. Focus on getting the meaning first before anything else.         I think it is more important to understand what you are hearing to practice more.
  3. Start mixing! You have to combine words to get more and more fluency. The words that you know you could combine into more sentences for practicing.
  4. Focus on the core! Be conscious in what the words make sense together.
  5. Get a language parent. You have to meet persons that could help you. Find teachers or someone that could help you practice.
  6. Copy the face. When you see someone talking in the language focus in the mouth for more attention in the speaking and pronouncing.
  7. Direct connect. When you heard something makes an image inside your mind to understand better.

5 line paragraph about the reaction to the talk

This was an excellent video to put in practice for all the things we want to learn. 6 months isn´t a very short time, but is a lapse that you could use it to do your best and put it on action for all your life! Chris Londsdare talked in a TED conference and explains how to learn specifically a language. You don´t have to born with talent or be in another country to learn.  You need your time and mind! The word that I really appreciate more is “concentration”. All our new efforts need attention and practice but to concentrate in training all days. For me the habits in our days makes the difference and I knew in the video to listen a lot to the sounds and to be relaxed in our practice time.
