This movie scene started when the prosecutor interrogated to Mr. Dufresne about his wife’s murder, and the prosecutor asked him a description about the nigh that happened the murder. After that, Mr. Dufresne answered that it was very bitter because his wife said to him that she felt glad because he knew about her lover, and also because she hated all the sneaking around. Then, she asked for him a divorce in Reno, she wanted it. But Mr. Dufresne didn’t want it and he told her that he wouldn’t grant one.

After that, the prosecutor said the words he said to his wife that night according to his neighbors, and those words were ‘’ I will see you in hell before I see you in Reno’’. But he said he didn’t remember because he was upset.

The prosecutor made him other question, asking what it happened after what argued with his wife, and Mr. Dufresne explained that his wife packed a bag to go with her lover. Then, Mr. Dufresne said he drove to the Mr. Quentin’s house to confront them, but they were not home. Mr. Dufresne parked in the turnout and he waited there but he didn’t know or wasn’t sure what for. He was confused and drunk, but he just wanted scare them, he thought.

Then, the prosecutor said Mr. Dufresne killed to his wife and her lover when they arrived home. But he said he was sobering up. He got back in his car to go home and along the way he threw the gun into the river. The prosecutor said that the cleaning lady found his wife and her lover dead in the bed with 38. Caliber shots.

And he said ‘’ it is a fantastic coincidence’’ ironically. And he said him that even now he maintains that he threw the gun into the river before the murder took place.

Then, he said that the police dragged that river for 3 days and the gun was not found. Even if there’s no comparison between the accused guns and the bullets from the murder that probably are the same caliber it’s all a coincidence, then Mr. Dufresne says that how he is innocent he finds very convenient that the gun was never found
