Objective:
In this report we will learn typical conversations held in different settings such as companies in different industries such as those related to culture and communication.
Also, we will be learning about careers. We will review vocabulary learned previously, and build up new vocabulary which will enable we to understand more and to be more accurate in our productive abilities: speaking and writing.
Procedure:
To respond to the report requested in Activity Modular Learning Outcome 1 the article “Indian Companies are adding Western Flavor” on page 13 on the text book for the first module called Careers and communication, the following are made:
- I read, studied, and understood the topics in Module 1:
- Topic 1. Careers.
- Topic 2. Workplaces
- Topic 3. Communications
- Topic 4. Review topics 1 to 3
Results:
Read the article “Indian Companies are adding Western Flavor” on page 13 on the text book and answer the following questions giving arguments and using examples of vocabulary, expressions and grammar structures studied in the Module.

- What is your reaction to the article? Why?
I am astonishes, I think the interaction with people of other cultures is good, because we can learn new things.
- Do you think Sierra Atlantic’s training policy for its Indian employees is a good example of how to motivate and train staff? Why?
No, because in Mexico throughout history it has fought for the dignity of work and the progress we have taken have been important and I think it is not good retreat.
- How would you feel if you had to change your style of dress or behavior to suit the business of a foreign employer? Why?
Seems really, I think we are not far from this happening in Mexico and staying in our work I need to do. Such training programs are increasingly common.
Conclusion:
With this activity, we learned to understand a text well, to identify its content and thus to be able to answer the questions.
We learned to identify the text information to respond to the request in the field of English V. It allowed us to know the other words and to know more vocabulary, and to know new compositions, elements and concepts for our personal and professional life.
