My City Tuxtla

Tuxtla Gutierrez is a capital of the Mexican state of Chiapas and the most urbanized, more popular and important of state.

This city began as a village in the foothill’s Mactumatzá. In 1486 and 1505, the Aztecs began a war with a small army and attacked the settlement,destroyed Coyatoc and named Tuchtlán.

Tuxtla Gutierrez is a city of opportunities, immersed in modernity, retains many traditional aspects, like the pagan festivals and religious rituals, legends and vernacular architecture.

The capital of Chiapas is located within the group of the most dynamic cities in the Southeast region, for their employment, goods and services, among others.

In the last eight years have made significant efforts in the areas of drinking water, drainage, sewerage, street lighting, parks, gardens, sports and road infrastructure units, among others.

Tuxtla Gutierrez is the cradle of civilization important but little known prehispanic: The Zoque, the sites are the way they drew the Mayans centuries ago and an invitation to reunite with travel, history and legend. Among the attractions are there in the city, include the following:
