GThis game focuses on food vocabulary in English with four main sections. There is a food vocabulary practice section and a food spelling section. Then, there are food games for conversation practice in a restaurant, practice ordering, answering questions and games for listening practice. The question and answer games and grammar games are associated with the ESL Young Learners Curriculum - Unit 2.

The questions and answers for this game are as follows.

A: What do you want?

B: I want chicken, please.

A: Do you want some soup?

B: Yes, please. / No, thank you.

A: I want chicken.

B: Me, too.

A: Do you want a sandwich?

B: No. I don't want a sandwich. I want chicken, please.

Other notes:

The spelling game will accept the vocabulary word as is, "sandwich", with an article "a sandwich" for countable items, or determiner "some soup" for uncountable items.

Food can be quite confusing whether it is singular or plural. This activities tries to avoid confusion and so understanding of countable vs. uncountable shouldn't be an issue for students in these activities. The main focus is making statements, asking and answer the questions above.

In the grammar section there is some emphasis placed on learning English punctuation and grammar rules such as starting a sentence with a capital letter, contractions and usage of commas.
