AMSTERDAM

Amsterdam is one of the greatest small cities in the world. FromAmsterdam canals to world-famous Amsterdam museums and historical Amsterdam sights, it is one of the most romantic and beautiful cities in Europe.

• Anne Frank House: is a historic house and a biographical museum dedicated to Jewish wartime diarist Anne Frank, during World II, she hid from Nazi persecution with her family and four other people in hidden rooms at the rear of the 17th-century canal house. She didn´t survive, but in 1947 her wartime diary was published.

• Rijksmuseum: is the National Amsterdam Museum, it´s dedicated to arts and history. It is the most visited museum in Netherlands with a record number of 2.2 million visitors. The museum has on display more than 8000 objects of art and history.

• Van Gogh Museum: is an art museum dedicated to the works of Vicent Van Gogh and his contemporaries. The museum´s collection is the largest collection of Van Gogh´s paintings and drawings in the world.

• National Maritime Museum: the museum is housed in a former naval storehouse; it´s dedicated to maritime history and contains many artifacts associated with shipping and sailing. The collection contains among other things, paintings, scale models ,weapons, world maps and impressive historical sea battles.

• Amsterdam Canals: Amsterdam is also known as the NORTH VENICE, for it´s more than one hundred kilometers of canals, about ninety islands and one thousand five hundred bridges. The three main canals are: Herengracht, Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht.
