Mexican food VS Fast food

‘’Tradition versus modernity’’

Day a day Mexican food is replace by fast food, it is a serious problem in society because people prefer pay for a fast dish and the Mexican food restaurants’ has been decreasing.

Mexican consumers are increasingly interested in Asian, Middle Eastern and American food. A clear example is that in 2013 the leading company in both outlet and value terms was FEMSA, with it is convenience store fast food chain OXXO. OXXO’s convenience store expansion continued in 2013, with the chain expanding outlet volume by 643 outlets from 2012 to reach more than 11,200 outlets across the country. While Mexican is buying pizza, burgers, Chinese food, and others fasts dishes, tourist are tasting our Mexican dishes that they found in touristic places. Mexicans think that fast food is cheaper, faster, more delicious also other qualities but is not total healthy and like good Mexican we are, we don’t take in care this important point.

Well, Mexican food is a one of the most important traditions in our country. The dishes are really delicious and the process is large, need time and passion. The process to cook a Mexican dish is very interesting it doesn’t have a comparison point with other one and exist a big variety like: Tamales, mole, chocolate, pozole, enchiladas, tortillas and others. Is terrifying that other dishes replace there only because we don’t have time enough to cook or because we don’t want to waste money.  If we live here we should valuate this traditions and show to the word what treasures Mexico has.

Whit this important points we notice that Mexican don’t do all really well, we need improve our culture and explode our Mexican treasures in order to save our culture and society. Take the risk to taste other traditional dishes but not forget which Mexican hands produce.
