THE FALL OF CREATIVITY

Since we were small we all dream. Asleep and awake. Thanks to the power of our imagination, we believe that we are capable of anything. However, as we grow up we lose this wonderful capacity that later in life we miss in order to being creative, innovate, and change our lives.

We lose the creativity because we live in a conformist society that robs us the inspiration, and the first to do so are our parents and educators. We lose the creativity because we adapt to the system of society, although we are all born with creative ability. We waste or buried creativity thanks to our parents, teachers and the people who surround us, because the environment prepares us for that: to settle for a world grey and unimaginative.

Children questioned everything, adults’ don’t. There are a lot of reasons for this. On the one hand, we stop asking questions somewhere in our adolescence, because we want to give the impression that we know everything. Then at some point we convince us that in reality we have all the answers. However, we also become scheduled once we started working to stop asking questions. Employees who ask too many questions or investigate the process often are considered unproductive and harmful. The greater we become, they simply to lose much of our curious and creative side.

We lose the creativity more or less at the age of 8, because that is the age in which we stop dreaming, almost atrophying our creative capacity, molding us sadly to simplicity, to the lack of imagination, the lack of creative ideas, and it is the society which steals us the inspiration. Sad but true, because only the big dreamers - which are always criticized and branded as mad, to act against the current of the world, no matter what others think - are those who manage to do great things and leave a legacy to humanity.

God, after creating man, just ordered him to be productive and dominate the Earth, but the Bible never says that God is dedicated to teach him how to do it. This means that within the first man already had implied his enormous creativity to achieve such objectives. Brilliant, right?

Thus, the creativity is innate in man; It is there, within ourselves, but it is numb because we have allowed that they stolen us the inspiration to create throughout our lives. However, we need to restore such capacity in some way to reflect the originality and revealing presence of God in all that we do, since we were created not only with the talent necessary to achieve it, but also with the seed of creativity. And not only for our well being, but also to bless others.
