A cholera disease in colonial India leaves orphaned Mary Lennox Craven, a British girl born on this continent, so it is sent to the UK to live with an uncle named Mr. Craven, in a pompous mansion Yorkshire in which this man lives plunged into a stifling environment and greater restlessness that is added the evil arts of strict housekeeper Mrs Medlock. However, in this oppressive space Mary discovers a large garden, closed and abandoned for years, that will become a magical retreat for herself and her three new friends: Colin, a disabled and whimsical boy, Dickon, back, a naive person and full of goodness and Robin. The three children and Robin rehabilitate the place which in turn will help to build a special relationship that will change their destinies forever.

Characters >>: Mary Lennox Craven (main character): Your life has been very sad, to be orphaned after their parents died in a cholera epidemic in India, is sent to her uncle's house in England. At first it difficult to adapt, as is all bad, but soon makes friends in that distant country.

- Mr. and Mrs. Lennox: Parents of Mary. Mr. Lennox had been a British government official and is always busy with their obligations. Ms. Lennox was a thin, beautiful and radiant young woman who only cared about their own social life. Mary birth, her mother left her in the care of an Indian nurse, and that nothing he liked his daughter and because of that, she grew up as a tyrannical and selfish girl. In the end, unfortunately, they die of cholera.

- Mrs. Medlock: Strict and Awful housekeeper Misselthwaite Manor. Mary hates and believes it is a burden to her and to the mansion. Mary sends only and nothing else does.

- Martha: The servant of Mary, being so close to her soon becomes his friend. It is very cheerful and friendly, even though his life has been very hard because his family is poor.

- Benjamin "Ben" Weatherstaff: One of the many gardeners Misselthwaite Manor. Your friend is like Robin and Mary and Colin, bitter and not positive. At the end, he discovers that Mary was snooping around in the secret garden.

- Robin: The best friend of Ben and Mary. It is very cute and was born in the secret garden.

Mr. Archibald Craven: The owner of Manor Misselthwaite Mary and uncle. His wife died after falling from a branch in your garden. Because of this, he closed the gate and buried the key. His son, Colin, has never received affection, because without his wife, Mr. Craven does not mind anything.

- Lillias Mrs Craven: The wife of Mr. Craven and Collin's mother. It was a very cheerful and happy woman. She had a garden, and always rose to a tree by which climbing roses. One day, the branch broke and she fell, causing his death.

- Dickon: It's a boy (one of 12 siblings Martha) dedicated to herd the sheep. It has a very special ability: he can understand and talk to animals. Mary loved to hear stories of Dickon, and when she met him, she thought it was a dream.

- Colin Craven: The Invalid, hysterical, spoiled son of Mr. Craven (who does not mind their existence). He passes in his room and everyone thinks he will die, but that is not, to meet Mary and Dickon, his life changed forever, because it manages to stand up and finally, thanks to that, the Sr, taking into account Craven.

- Susan Sowerby: Dickon's mother, Martha and another 10 children. She and her family are poor, but that does not stop her to have goodness. Mary thinks it should be free and should play Colin, not die. He is very kind and gentle.

- Dr. Craven: A poor doctor and the doctor Colin. He wants Colin die, as well, would inherit the mansion and be rich.

Basil: Basil is a child who belongs to a family who knew the parents of Mary, and that which is carried quite wrong with this boy because of differences between their time carácteres.Mary is housed in the home of such pers
