Alcoholism and drugs. State causes, consequences and give solutions on how to prevent kids and teenagers from these problems.

In the medicine field, drugs are all substances that help prevent diseases.

In the social field, drugs are all prohibited substances. These substances are dangerous, given that they can cause addiction, dependence and when somebody consumes a lot of it, drugs can cause death.

Alcoholism is a disease caused by excessive consummation of alcohol, it produces physical dependence. An alcoholic person can not live without liquor.

Both of them are too dangerous diseases. They affect nervous system and kill brain neurons.

These addictions force the person to consume it in big quantities to feel the same effects; their bodies need to have drugs or liquor. This is why the addicted try to get it anyhow.

This is a social problem, because alcoholism or drugs cause changes in the person who consumes it. People, who are addicted, usually lie to get the substances, steal things to sell and buy drugs or liquor. Due to these addictions there are many thieves, the places are more dangerous.

One of the causes for a person to be alcoholic or drug addict is curiosity, adolescence is a very hard stage, teenagers want to experiment everything. They want to know what it feels like if they consume it.

Another cause is when teenagers do not have their own personality. They try to imitate someone who they admire. If parents consume alcohol or drugs, their children have more possibilities to become alcoholic or drug addict.

All teenagers need to be accepted into a group. When young people are rejected, they do everything to enter in this group. Especially in gangs there are some rules such as consuming liquor without control, consuming any drugs, having sex with multiple people under the effect of alcohol or drugs.

Depressions, low self-esteem, solitude, inattention from parents, lack of communication, are causes of drug addiction and alcoholism. People who can not count on somebody can fall into alcohol and drugs. They take refuge in it because they forget all their problems and they feel good.

Some studies found out that people who have alcoholic or drug addict’s relatives, are more likely to fall into this, because of gene factors.

To consume drugs or alcohol is dangerous to health. To consume these substances cause various diseases, damages, organic and psychological problems, people who consume drugs or alcohol change their attitude and behavior, they can be aggressive. They suffer psychological disorders, irritability loss of self-esteem and intense feelings of guilt.

Addictions can destroy families; a person addicted hurts his family physically and psychologically.
