Circulatory system: Maya drank alcohol and, in some cases, a single episode of heavy drinking can cause trouble for your heart. Circulatory system complications because of alcohol include: poisoning of the heart muscle cells, irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure, stroke, heart attack, heart failure. She also smoke, the effects of smoking in the circulatory system are: raised blood pressure and heart rate, constriction of blood vessels in the skin, resulting in a drop in skin temperature, less oxygen carried by the blood during exercise, ‘stickier’ blood, which is more prone to clotting damage to the lining of the arteries, which is thought to be a contributing factor to atherosclerosis , reduced blood flow to extremities (fingers and toes), increased risk of stroke and heart attack due to blockages of the blood supply. After some time, Maya started to take drugs, no matter what type of drug someone abuses, they put their circulatory system at risk; they can experience: abnormal heart rate, heart attacks, collapsed veins and infections.

Respiratory system: Smoking has several effects on the body: irritation of the trachea and larynx, reduced lung function and breathlessness due to swelling and narrowing of the lung airways and excess mucus in the lung passages, impairment of the lungs’ clearance system, leading to the build-up of poisonous substances, which results in lung irritation and damage, increased risk of lung infection and symptoms such as coughing and wheezing, permanent damage to the air sacs of the lungs. The use of some drugs may cause respiratory problems, such as breathing to slow, block air from entering the lungs or exacerbate asthma symptoms.

Nervous system: One of the first signs of alcohol in your system is a change in behavior. Alcohol travels through the body easily. It can quickly reach many parts of your body, including your brain and other parts of your central nervous system. That can make it harder to talk, causing slurred speech, the telltale sign that someone who has had too much to drink. It can also affect coordination, interfering with balance and the ability to walk. Smoking tobacco has powerful effects on the central nervous system. Cigarettes act as a central nervous system stimulant, affecting the neurotransmitters serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine, acetylcholine, GABA and others. When a person takes a drug, most drugs, what happens is it cuts off the communication in this central nervous system. That's one of the reasons drugs will kill pain and will relax you because this nice smooth flow all the way through the body is actually stopped or cut off at some point.

As we already saw, alcohol, smoking and drugs have serious effects on human body, but they can also affect our personal life and damage the relationship that we have with our family and friends. Most of the times, people who invite you to consume these substances are not your friends, so you can dispel people
