When we think in the water, the first thing that comes to our mind is that tasteless and colorless liquid that we see every day in our normal life. We use it to make our daily activities like take a shower, wash our clothes, clean our food, and the most commonly, to drink it.

We are OK, that is water. But as some of us know, there are more kinds of water that we need to know to do a deeper analysis of the topic.

For example there’s the salad water covering 97% of the water that exists in the world, it means that it’s on the see and we can´t use it. Then there are the ice and the glaciers that are solid water and they’re covering 2% of water, leaving us with a 1% of fresh water that we could use.

If we planted the situation in that way it sound a little alarming ¿Don’t you think so?

In other way, the water is extremely vital for us and all the kinds of life in the world. I mean we need it, not just for the thinks and activities that I already mention. There’re more reasons that make it so important for us. I mean ¿Do you know that the 75% of our weight corresponds to the water? And if it isn’t enough for you to convince you of the water importance I could give you more reasons to take care about it.

Processes such as DNA replication, photosynthesis, digestion and cellular respiration, require water to be able to perform. Some kind of plants and animals like the seaweed and jellyfish are made approximately 90% of water.

The water is also a symbol of power cose if you start to analyze the history you could see that places like London, Montreal, Paris, New York and Tokyo have their wealth due to the connection with any great waterway which favored its growth and prosperity.

Now that we know about the importance of water we’re gonna past to another point: The global problem with the water.

The problem about the care of water is an issue that has been studied for long time ago, and although results have been achieved, they are not large enough to eradicate this problem.

The world continues advancing, populations increase, and that also increase the needs of consuming this non-renewable liquid.

It seems rather illogical than being a vital resource, the problem of the depletion of the water is simply ignored by the population.

We fall in the mistake of think that our actions don’t affect, that they’re minority, but this minority it’s incrementing every day in every time that someone allows that a faucet drip just because is complicated to fix it.

It sounds cruel but many of us only care about our present needs and be comfortable. Without taking care that many actions that we do could affect us in a future.

It’s true that there are so many thing that we can’t stop doing like take
