FRASES O SINTAGMAS NOMINALES (NOUN PHRASE)
NOUN PHRASE
Las frases nominales son casi siempre los sujetos de una predicación verbal u oración pero también puede ser el objeto directo, la oposición, el complemento circunstancial y el objeto indirecto, en primera instancia. Ejemplo: La más bonita de todas es la casa amarilla. El núcleo o idea central en la frase nominal es el sustantivo. Este expresa el concepto principal de la misma y se ubica generalmente a la derecha como la última palabra que la conforma.
La frase puede estar integrada por un sustantivo, en muchos casos esta acompañada de otras palabras: artículos adjetivos, adverbios, otros sustantivos. Para traducir dicha frase al español se comienza por el sustantivo núcleo y se construye el significado hacia la izquierda. Ejemplos:
1.- Emotion is an important factor in learning
La Emoción es un factor importante en el aprendizaje
Phrase: It is more than one word united for a reason.
Nominal: It refers to the fact that the nucleus of the most important word in the sentence is a noun; being the last word of the sentence.
Learning: Identifying the noun phrase helps us to translate into Spanish because the nucleus (noun) comes first.
