HISTORY OF HIPPIES

In the beginning the movement was in the United States then spreading across Europe and around the world. The cause was a reaction to the damages that had produced the Second World War, in society and culture.

The events in the 1950s caused sleepiness in the society in general. Young people began to reject these bourgeois and comfortable positions.

All of these transformations in society were incubating the youth protest that would come.

They have been a non-violent anarchy who cared about environment and the rejection of the materialism of the Eastern.

They used to gather in communes constituted like free organizations and without jeraquias and entire contrast of the bourgeoisie.

Hippie clothes:

The style and trends hippies represented the rebellion and freedom after the war with Vietnam.

The hippies they used to break free from the social norms of the 60s, in habits, customs and dress.

The hippies they used to wear garments more rustic and made of cotton or hemp.

Among the accessories that hippies of both genders wore sandals are, printed t-shirts made by themselves, handbags and accessories with the symbol "power flower" that has symbolized peace and freedom.

The portfolios have symbolized the craft hippies and the hippies opposition have had against the expensive brands. Furthermore, hippie culture has defended animals, so their accessories and clothes were made of simple materials.

The hippie trend was influenced by currents in South Africa and India, as we have seen in some patterns of male and female clothing.

The hippie fashion had strong trends as flares, tinctured and made clothes for them, cotton accessories with colorful ribbons as rings, necklaces and bracelets, loose skirts and colorful and various styles, woven and embroidered clothes and sandals rustic.

In the era of the 60 also they used to use a natural look, that is, women did not wear makeup, women do not buy their clothes, manufactured themselves.

In addition, women wore long dresses and baggy, because they made it the social stigma free.
