Saw 1, first movie of the horror movie series.

SAW I

SAW, probably one of the most famous and preferred horror series (of movies) of the past 15 years. They maintain you in an unstoppable suspension to know what will happen next.

        First of all, SAW are a series of horror// thriller movies about a psychopath that kidnaps people that had done something bad in their lives (something that affected in a negative way someone). There are in total 7 movies of these series, and the 8th one is coming out in 2017. The movie director James Wan directed these movies, he wrote the script with his friend Leigh Whannell. The first movie (the one I’m going to talk about in this essay) was released in the year 2004.

        There are 4 principal characters in the movie although one of the only appears for 15 seconds.

*Adam Stanheight: He is one of the two characters trapped by Jigsaw; he is a private photographer that spies people to prove what they are up to.

*Lawrence Gordon: He is probably one of the three most important characters in the series because he appears in all the movies (flashback or mentioned), he is a normal man with a wife and daughter, Jigsaw kidnaps him because he cheated his wife with the secretary.

*Jigsaw: He IS the most important character of al the series, he appears in all the movies. Jigsaw is a white puppet with red eyes and red cheeks in a spiral form, he uses a black smoking and he always moves in an old red tricycle from 1940. He is the one who kidnaps everyone and puts theme somewhere to play a “game/puzzle” so that he (the kidnaped person) gets to be free, or die while trying.

*John Kramer: He appears in the majority of the saw movies (I’m not going to tell nothing more about him because the purpose of the first 5 movie is to find out who is him, so if I say something it would a gigantic spoiler).

        The plot of SAW I is the actual beginning of all the series, and the introduction to them. The movie is based in two men (Adam Stanheight and Lawrence Gordon), they were kidnaped by Jigsaw to play game to see who would do the most unthinkable thing to escape and rescue those who they love. Meanwhile that happens, various flashbacks appear explaining how things happened, how they got there, who kidnapped them and more things.

        In conclusion these movie is a great movie that maintains you in suspense all the time, and makes you run conclusions all over again and again until you figure out who is the kidnaper, it is probably one of the movies with the best and most unexpected endings ever, those are some of the reasons I love that movie, and I highly recommend this movie to those who also love that kind of movie and even though is very bloody its worth if you don’t like blood.
