CLASS: BUSINESS ORGANIZATION AND INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION SYSTEMS

PROFESSOR: José Manuel del Pino Fernández

STUDENT: Víctor Rubio Navarro

-A supply chain is a system of organizations, people, activities, information, and resources involved in moving a product or service from supplier to customer. Supply chain activities involve the transformation of natural resources, raw materials, and components into a finished product that is delivered to the end customer. In sophisticated supply chain systems, used products may re-enter the supply chain at any point where residual value is recyclable.

-The objective of the supply chain is bringing the product from the place where its produced to the final consumer, trying to do it the fastest was possible and with the less money, and in the planned time.

-The most important factors required for optimizing the supply chain are all the ones that are showed in the infographic that is beneath the text.

It requires an efficient production trying to reduce as many mistakes or wastes as possible, we can use some techniques like Iso or lean manufacturing for improving this area for example. And we can design a inner layout in our factory or workshop that allow us to save some time and moves. And saving times means less working hours, and less working hours represent less money.

For optimizing the logistics department, we would need to know which way of transport we are going to use , depending of the destination of the product. And once we do that , design a route that saves time and money for example.
